• A crash course of commonly used Plan-based project management techniques (PRINCE2, PMP PMI, APM ACF etc). 

• A crash course in Agile Project Management techniques including Kanban and Scrum

Review the OSEMN Data Science Process and discuss its implications, strengths and weaknesses.

Workshop: 

• research commonly used techniques for managing data centric projects e.g. CRISP-DM, SEMMA, Microsoft Team Data Science Process etc.

• Discuss: 

  • Which techniques do you think would work best in your organisation? 

  • Are there constraints must you work within when managing projects?

  • How can you improve upon current processes in the short term? 

  • What actions can you take to improve the management of data projects in the longer term?
