Building and Using Agents with Copilot

Course Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course, students will be able to::  

• Distinguish between chatbots, assistants, and agents — and identify which kind of problem suits each

• Use at least three pre-built agents from the Copilot Agent Library to complete common work tasks

• Build a knowledge agent (name, instructions, knowledge sources) for a topic in their own role

• Build a more capable agent that combines knowledge with actions

• Apply governance principles to agent design — when an agent is appropriate, what guardrails to add, who to involve before sharing

• Share an agent with a colleague and iterate it based on real-use feedback
